Individuals who are on supervision with the Kentucky Department of Corrections and are looking to apply for job opportunities at Kentucky State Parks should contact their reentry coordinator or probation and parole officer. ​Learn more

Recover​​y to Job Ready Services

The Strategic Initiative for Transformational Employment is designed to bridge the gap between recovery and workforce participation for individuals active in their recovery from addiction issues. This second chance opportunity is available to individuals recovering from addiction in all 120 Kentucky counties.

Eastern Kentuck​y Recovery to Job Ready Program

Headquartered in Hazard, the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, or EKCEP, supports Kentuckians in recovery by helping adults find jobs. Assistance ranges from career counseling and job search assistance to paying for tuition and providing on-the-job training opportunities. The program serves a population of nearly one-half million throughout 23 counties in the Appalachian mountains.

Job Reentry ​​​Services

Individuals with a disability in need of support services to enter or reenter the workplace may be eligible for assistance from Team Kentucky. Determine eligibility and learn more.

Putting Kentuckians First Reentry Program​​

This program offers education, training and support services to help Kentuckians currently in or transitioning out of incarceration or addiction treatment and recovery get back on their feet and into the workforce.

The program is available to those in treatment facilities, recovery centers and local jails. Contact the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet for more information.​

Transport​ation

To reduce addiction and prevent reincarceration, transportation is provided at no charge to former inmates who need to access a job interview, educational courses, addiction recovery facilities, medical appointments, probation and parole meetings and employment. Kentuckians who are under the supervision of probation or parole are eligible to ​use this assistance and should contact their officer to receive a voucher.

Job Ready​ ID

Team Kentucky provides inmates returning to their community with a state-issued identification card. Each prison assists those approaching their release date by collecting the required documents and working to schedule a time for the identification to be processed, which is then placed in their release packet. For questions, the justice-involved population should contact their reentry coordinator or unit supervisor.

Expungements​
